Providing continued Assistance
The members of SWITCH have recently undertaken
a two day workshop starting on 5th of January and ending on the
18th of January. There was 18 members in attendance and over 50
expected throughout the year.
The training covered various topics:
-mentoring skills
-undertaking training needs analysis
-conducting formal progress meetings
-computer skills
Members in attendancecome from many diverse
backgrounds. There were professionals like trained counselors,
community development workers, out reach workers and general members
of the public.
SWITCH Coordinator, Kerry Evans, describes the
training sessions as an opportunity to build the vital skills
needed to deliver the community support and resources that SWITCH
aims to provide.
