Arwain

The local wireless broadband group, who have been very helpful to SWITCH, held the first of a series of information seminars at Jury’s Hotel on 8th July. It had 2 key speakers on how Westminster Council are using wireless to take computer links across the borough and Richard Lander of Locust world who gave a very interesting talk on wireless meshing, which allows you to set up a network of wireless nodes so you’re not reliant on only one source of signal and can hop from one to another.
