Cash- The Huggard Centre is up and running and Net Nanny has been installed to prevent distasteful websites being downloaded. Upstairs computers have been serviced. A number of students have put their names forward to become SWITCH volunteers in the New Year.

CGTP– Driving Theory Test classes on going every Thursday.

Loudoun Square CC – Carole Fox is runnng classes in Basic IT 2 more computers have been installed this week, they are second user, but ideally suited to training needs. Total four computers with broadband internet access.

Slipper Baths – Geraldine has been running basic IT classes this last 6 weeks and the Saturday African culture classes have been doing well.

BAWSO – The whole of BAWSO has been networked Gaby has bought in 10 new computers which she is installing herself. Gaby has had a successful bid to have the training room renovated.

MENFA – 1 computer formatted and ready to install. Hopefully workbench will be fitted but still waiting.

Bhatra Sikh Centre– I have just replaced a faulty Avaya Wireless box, the Arwain wireless node is now operational again. The web site is under construction at present.

Switch Steering Group Meeting. – Thursday 22nd January 2004@ 2.00pm. The Butetown Youth Pavillion will be hosting the meeting.

Somali Centre – 5 New 2nd user computers with 17inch monitors have been installed at the centre totalling 10. ELLIS is being piloted at the centre this month, 10 students have already signed up for the course, which is a multi media multi language

Contribute Course - Finalising a date at present Have found a volunteer to give the training in the New Year.The course will be held at the Samaj centre for 6 weeks.

Mewn Cymru- Nothing to report

Samaj Centre: - An AWAIN node has been installed at the centre and has been operating since November. Hopefully some members of the committee will test it this week from their homes.

All Wales Saheli Ass – Has just come on board, I have installed 3 new Dell 2.0gig computers with networked broadband access. The office is now networked with broadband access for the staff.

BVSNW – A wireless network has been fitted in the new office all the staff have broadband internet access, access to their e-mail on the BVSNW domain.

United Welsh Tenants Ass-2 Computers have been fitted with a wireless network.
