CASH – The Huggard Centre – 2 new Dell computers have been installed and added to the network 4 in all. Also security boxes have been fitted to cover the computers, with the extra measure of bolted cases.
We also managed to fit two new desks from MENFA. The Huggard Centre Have approximately 30 volunteers to train. Anew netgear ADSL router has now been installed, this should improve reliability with the network and internet access for the users.

CGTP– Please Note the change of name, from Cardiff Gypsy and Sites Group to CARDIFF GYPSY AND TRAVELLER PROJECT.

Swich computers are installed ready for networking.There are now 4 computers available for learners. Marni is going to purchase ADSL wireless modem router so that the whole office can be networked.

Butetown Community Centre - Have had their computers installed with broadband internet access. We will be holding an Open Day on the 30th May 2003 where people can access the internet, try their hand at mixing music using the latest DJ software, accessing the internet, Afro-Caribean food, there will be creche facilities available, along with a taster course in Positive Parenting.

BEAT – We are holding an Open Day on , Friday May 16th.With Basic IT and Sewing taster sessions. There will also be Food on offer.

BAWSO – 8 new Volunteers have completed their SWITCH training, congratulations!!

I am re-designing the BAWSO website at the moment so hopefully there will be some improvements soon. Barry College will be running a personal development course after Easter.

MENFA – Have just moved to new premises we are waiting for computer desks to be installed.

BHATRA SIKH CENTER –A Netgear ADSL modem is being installed this week, so an extra computer will become available for learners.

MEWN CYMRU: - The SWITCH computer network has been linked to the office network, so that volunteers can access the MEWN office from the learning suite.

Somaj Centre: - New course will be starting after Easter. I will post details as they arrive.

Websites Update: Arabic and Punjabi texts up on Switch website.
